Violence in the Middle East

Focusing on the political dynamics of violence in the Middle East, this study examines how groups initially employ violence as a rational tool for altering power relations. Over time, these movements often deteriorate, leading to fragmented violence and the rise of warlords. The author analyzes how the criminalization of identities fosters a "tragic mind," viewing violence as a means of justice and hope. Integrating insights from cognitive, social, and religious sciences, the book provides a comprehensive understanding of the underlying logic of these violent phenomena.
