It analyzes emissions and cost impacts from various technologies, revealing that efficiency improvements in existing power plants can achieve modest CO2 reductions at lower costs than current CO2 credit values. More substantial reductions are feasible with post-combustion and pre-combustion decarbonization methods, which align with CO2 credit values from 2006. Further development in pre-combustion fuel processing could lead to significant cost savings.
