Noor-un-nisa Inayat Khan, the daughter of an American mother and Indian Sufi father, was a talented musician and writer who became a brave undercover wireless operator for the British SOE during World War II. After her Resistance network was compromised in Paris, she continued to support the Allies despite being captured and tortured by the Nazis. Her resilience and refusal to betray her comrades ultimately led to her execution at Dachau in 1944.
