It highlights the evolution of postcolonial and contemporary women's fiction since the late 1990s, emphasizing the unique cultural backgrounds of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India. By shifting the emphasis from India-centric narratives, the study reveals how these transnational texts challenge traditional national assumptions and foster a distinct postcolonial feminist discourse.
