Set in a whimsical magical kingdom, the story follows Wizard Reuben Ashtar and his son Foxglove, who are tasked with controlling disruptive Dreadful Noises after their time at the Great Homnom School of Wizardry. After retiring, Reuben creates Landoshar, a magical realm for children, but soon discovers that the Dreadful Noises have escaped and are wreaking havoc among the kingdom's inhabitants. Determined to restore peace, Reuben and Foxglove embark on an adventure to recapture the mischievous noises, who have their own agenda.
