Troubadour

Set in twelfth century France, the story unfolds against a backdrop of impending war and religious upheaval. Territorial tensions with Spain and the rise of the Cathar movement challenge the Catholic Church's authority. Amidst this turmoil, a romantic young rogue, Gaucelm, aspires to create poetry and music. His journey leads him through the influential courts of Toulouse, Ventadour, and Courthézon, while he navigates a passionate relationship with a devoted prostitute who supports him unconditionally.
