Focusing on intercultural education and immigrant integration, this thesis examines the secondary school system in Germany through surveys conducted with students and teachers in Hamburg. It reveals that students often interact with diverse backgrounds and recognize the significance of intercultural education. Despite the presence of commendable programs, the findings indicate that there is still considerable potential for enhancement in policies and practices from the federal to the local level.
