Just Like That

The story follows Jake, recently paroled, who spirals into despair after his girlfriend leaves him and he attempts suicide. On a whim, he reconnects with his friend Bud, and they embark on a spontaneous road trip southward in search of warmth and escape. Their journey takes them through New Orleans and Lake Charles, Louisiana, ultimately leading them back to Indiana. This adventure explores themes of friendship, impulsivity, and the quest for solace in the aftermath of personal turmoil.
