Tides of Fortune is my first published work. It is a collection of 61 poems - some more than 15 years old - that I want to share. My poetry is as "crazy" as is my personality, maybe. And although some of the poems do not follow the more traditional styles, I believe the best way to express ourselves is through our own personal flair and diction.The purpose of this work is to bring readers into the feelings of everyday life, to recognize the beauty of nature, to learn from the past; to appreciate that hope lies within the smallest blade of grass, or in the breath of an autumn breeze.This work touches on the aspects of: life, nature, people, belief, love and perception. Living and interacting with life can leave us a ray of light, where time is our friend, and the belief in love and loving, and being more conscious, guide us to the fortune we have always had before us.Tidings of Fortune would not have been possible, if it were not for all the people I have been fortunate to encounter and the places I have been to, to inspire this first rendition of good fortune.
