The poems and reflections in this collection were written before and after the first democratic elections in South Africa. Some were inspired by the dawn of freedom and celebrate this historic day. Some of the later poems are juxtaposed against this "Freedom Day" that held so much promise. It's an interesting variety of themes, landscapes and lifescapes, including the ever intriguing subject of love. Some of the poems were originally published in Austria, France and South Africa.
