As a result, he established friendships with many Chinese and a positive reputation with some of the top leaders of the Government of the PRC. The TianAnMen Square disaster forces him to return to the States. He starts his life over, but a different scenario will bring him back to China and makes itself known through one of the 'old friends' from those years.
