This knowledge and slipping away questions the sustaining support of digital objects: It aimed to challenge the habitualisation towards digital devices, the forgetting of the physical interface that leads to the supposition of digital immateriality, by making the computer apparent as an absurd thing that escapes language. The author positions himself among these strange and aloof digital things and their effects.

Žádný výcvik nepomůže policajtovi tolik jako správně fungující instinkt. Matka agentky Faith Mitchellové nezvedá telefon. Na dveřích je krvavý otisk dlaně. A uvnitř je to ještě horší: na podlaze prádelny leží mrtvý muž, uprostřed obývacího pokoje stojí jiný muž se zbraní v ruce a další právě utíká zahradou. Faith vidí všude kolem sebe naprostou spoušť. K nalezení pravdy bude Faith potřebovat pomoc Willa Trenta a Sáry Lintonové, mimo jiné i proto, že sama byla dočasně suspendována. Pro detektivy je nyní svědkyní. A také podezřelou. Jak tenká hranice dělí spravedlivého policistu od korupce, vydírání nebo dokonce vraždy? Faith se bude muset postavit lidem, které až doposud respektovala, pokud chce najít matku a vynést pravdu na světlo – nebo ji navždy pohřbít…
