The Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company was for decades informally known as Midland Red but not until 1974 did this become its official name, by which time it was a division of the National Bus Company. This highly illustrated book charts the fortunes of the company and its vehicles from 1969, through a series of mergers and reorganizations, to its splitting up and eventual sale in the late 1980s.
