Pnina Moed Kassová je americká autorka, která již více než třicet pět let žije v Izraeli. Své psaní věnuje krátkým povídkám, televizním scénářům a obrázkovým knihám. Kassová, která se do Izraele přistěhovala v roce 1968, se po několika letech učitelství angličtiny na střední škole rozhodla dát si pauzu a vrátit se k psaní. V USA se věnovala psaní textů k písním, byla také členkou autorského týmu časopisu. Její díla se vyznačují silným narativním hlasem a hloubkou.
