Die Peripatopsidae (Onychophora)

All taxa of the Peripatopsidae (Onychophora) previously described or recorded have been revised and a monographic account is presented here. There are several general characters which permit distinction of the taxa e. g. position of the genital pore, number of appendages and number of basal and distal leg-papillae. In addition some characters which had never been studied or which had fallen into disuse have been investigated; these include shape and distribution of the accessory male sex-glands, dermal-papillae and others. All characters used are critically elucidated and illustrated.
