Comperative [comparative] investigations of plain and steel fibre reinforced industrial ground slabs

Více o knize
Problem outline: Steel fibres are increasingly used in the industrial flooring sector. In comparison with non-reinforced floors, the addition of steel fibres does not result in a significant increase in axial tensile of flexural tensile strength, as a number of investigations on small test specimens have shown. Flexural tests on beams have however indicated that the subsequent cracking behaviour is substantially influenced by the fibre contens and/or the type of fibre. In particular, impact resistance and toughness are increased by the addition of steel fibres.
