Breaking through

Adult education, gender, and monitoring/evaluation are three separate areas that have undergone redefinition and reconceptualisation in the last ten years. Adult education now encompasses, among other issues, health education, leadership training and conflict resolution seminars offered by diverse providers. Gender is also a critical topic in development discourses, necessary for societal transformation. Meanwhile the gurus of quantitative monitoring and evaluation are witnessing a decline in their popularity.
