Více o knize
This volume is concerned with the language problems inherent to a society marked by migratory processes. The dimensions of these problems are looked at from various angles, in particular with respect to multilingualism and the path from verbal to written proficiency. The book is divided into three parts dealing with the theoretical concepts, those from nonlanguage disciplines such as political science, history, and law as well as the systematic foundations of linguistic reasoning. Also discussed are the consequences resulting from such studies with respect to political questions of integration, practical matters in (intercultural) education as well as further concerns from linguistic and didactic research. The interdisciplinary nature of this volume is a reflection of the author’s participation in the graduate program “Migration in Modern Europe” of the IMIS as well as the results of research projects with Moroccan immigrant children.
