Born in Shanghai in 1965 she lived in many different countries and sees the world from a very individual perspective: “There are many Philippine artists who expressed the rich cultural heritage of this wonderful country in their pictures. I do not try to compete with the local artists; but as I had already depicted typical Austrian landscapes and historical buildings with traditional Chinese techniques, I was tempted to try this approach also for the Philippines” The book contains 70 paintings of Yan Donko
