This is the story of a middle-age marriage between an English woman and a Greek man. Her English composure compliments his Greek, masculine flamboyance and combined with their experience of previous marriages, they make a strong couple. Until she meets her Greek stepson and, against their wills, they fall in love. Found out by her own son she flees England to live with her husband in his Greek home - but he asks his son to live with them and the affair reignites. Meanwhile her own son is in financial trouble and he joins them, trading silence of a position with the Greek's mysterious import/export firm. However, when her husband finds her with his own son, violence flares and the father is found dead on a lonely road. His company turns out to have traded in Nazi loot and both sons had a motive to kill him...
