This catalogue of an exhibition held in Dea Orh Gallery, Prague, presents works of Czech painter Jakub Špaňhel created in the years 2000–2010 together with a text by Meredith Etherington-Smith. Jakub Špaňhel was born in Karvina, Czech Republic in 1976. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (1995–2000) in the departments of Jiri David and Milan Knizak. His work is represented in all major national collections such as National Gallery in Prague, East Bohemian Gallery in Pardubice, Gallery Klatovy / Klenova, Felix Jenewein Gallery in Kutna Hora and Wannieck Gallery in Brno. He lives and works in Prague.
