Heinrich Heine's travel writings capture his journeys through Germany, Italy, England, and Northern Europe. This collection, edited by Christopher Johnston, assembles all five of Heine's existing travel logs, including the previously published "Harz Journey" and "Journey to Italy." The volume is based on the scholarly translations of Charles Leyland and features annotations to enhance the reader's understanding of Heine's experiences and observations during his travels.
