Focusing on mathematics teacher education in Turkey, the author's graduate thesis investigates the challenges and needs of the field through the insights of teacher educators. It critically examines the impacts of significant reforms from 1982, 1998, and 2006, revealing that while progress was made after the establishment of education faculties, further improvements are necessary. The study aims to inform future reforms and contribute to developing a comprehensive framework for Turkish teacher education, addressing existing issues and aligning with educational changes.
