The study empirically investigates the relationship between self-assessment (SA) and academic achievement (AA), defining SA as students' engagement in setting and evaluating criteria for their work, while AA is characterized by task-oriented behavior evaluated against standards. Involving 515 participants aged 15 to 17 from ten high schools, the research aims to validate this association, laying groundwork for future studies and highlighting the significance of self-assessment in enhancing academic performance.
