Autistic children have a deficit in theory of mind. Theory of mind is the ability to infer or predict behavior in terms of mental states. It seems to offer a useful framework for explaining these difficulties. Therefore, it is proposed that a program may help autistic children to develop mental states (false belief, emotion recognition and imitation).
