Ačkoliv má hlavu popletenou hrůzostrašnými gotickými romány, tehdejší oblíbenou dívčí četbou, a často vidí i v úkazech zcela běžných romantické drama, nakonec jí bystrý rozum ukáže správnou cestu a s milou Catherine – jak jinak – všechno dopadne šťastně.
