The story follows ten-year-old Callie, who struggles with homesickness after moving to Northern Ireland and grappling with the loss of her mother. Her life takes a magical turn when a flying house crashes in her backyard, bringing the magician Winnifred into her life. With the Wanderdust that powers the house gone, Callie, along with her neighbor Sam, embarks on an adventurous quest to retrieve it, confronting fairies and giants. Through this journey, Callie begins to understand the true meaning of home and friendship.
