    • A photographic History book following the ups and downs of a charity project.The Playbus was initially set up by the Girl Guides Association with funding from the Queens Silver Jubilee Community Awards.Set up in 1977 the bus was intended to serve the new district of Bewbush Crawley.the new area being built had neither school nor shops  but worst of all nowhere safe for the children to play.The double-decker bus was bought from Eastbourne Corporation and the bus take to Gatwick Airport.At the airport the young apprentices converted the bus into a 'Playbus'.A unique and much loved project which led to many other mobile projects following the example.The photographs in the book were on public display as an exhibition highlighting the possibilities and uses the bus could offer.
