Jane Benhall is an attractive young woman, a successful and popular teacher with a First in Modern Languages from Oxford. She tends to lack confidence, but has a headstrong side which can take her on adventures she had not bargained for. One such happens when she takes a post at an exclusive girls’ school on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. Intrigued by the palatial villa which neighbours the school, she goes exploring in the grounds – and soon finds her life taking an unexpectedly romantic turn.
