Mikkel Frost Knihy

Every now and then when the concept for one of CEBRA’s projects is completed, founding partner Mikkel Frost draws a cartoonish concept with watercolors: in essence a visual summary describing the idea of the whole project on just one small piece of paper. These “toons” serve as reminders of what the project is all about―forming visual pauses for thought that sum up a project’s story in a humorous and playful way. This sketchbook bundles a selection of Frost’s black and white drawings and watercolors, communicating the spirit of the office and their work in a contemporary way with elements of pop, graffiti and cartoon styles.

If you are looking for innovative Danish architects, you will undoubtedly have come across Mikkel Frost, Carsten Primdahl and Kolja Nielsen - better known as the founders of CEBRA. Since they joined forces in Aarhus in 2001, the trio have been regarded as pioneers in Scandinavian architecture. In 2015 they set up a branch office in Abu Dhabi in order to implement a major cultural project in the historic capital of the United Arab Emirates. The 1,200-page catalogue showcases CEBRA's intense passion for architecture as it takes you on a chronological journey through their work illustrated along the way with an extensive selection of drawings, diagrams and photographs.
