Focusing on the perceptions of depressed patients, this work explores their self-view through the lens of depressive iconography at a Psychosocial Care Centre in Pindamonhangaba. Utilizing qualitative research methods, including mental health nursing care and semi-structured interviews, the study highlights how nursing care effectively addresses depressive psychopathology. It reveals that feelings of failure, guilt, and negative attributions contribute to distorted perceptions, emphasizing the crucial role of perception in adapting to one's environment amidst a depressed mood.
