This book presents the process of tailoring an ESP course according to CEF Professional Profiles innovation. The CEF Professional Profile developed for Merchant Navy Officers introduces a range of information regarding their profession. Research data were elicited from interviews, questionnaires, text analysis and narrative accounts and results expand the CEF profile format to cultural issues.
