Cyber security risks permeate all levels of an organization, not just the IT department. Many managers outside of IT struggle to grasp these threats due to complex jargon and a lack of resources, leaving them feeling unprepared. This book aims to demystify cyber security, equipping non-IT managers with the knowledge and tools necessary to understand and address cyber risks effectively, fostering a more secure organizational environment.

    • The rise of global finance in the latter half of the twentieth century is often viewed as a chapter in the story of postwar U.S. growth. However, this perspective is challenged by an exploration of the Anglo-American origins of financial globalization, highlighting Britain's significant yet often overlooked role in reshaping international capitalism alongside the U.S. Through new archival research, the conventional narrative of international economic history as a series of hegemonic transitions is questioned. Instead, the focus is on the longstanding interactions between private and public financial institutions in both countries, particularly the connections among their financial markets, central banks, and fiscal policies. It is revealed that America's post-WWII financial dominance was both facilitated and constrained by British capitalism, necessitating collaboration with British politicians, officials, and bankers to realize a liberal economic order. This transatlantic integration and competition fueled the growth of the financial sector, increased reliance on debt, global regulatory easing, the rise of monetarism, and the shift toward neoliberalism. From the gold standard to the recent global financial crisis, this examination recasts the history of global finance through the lens of Anglo-American development.
