Focusing on the ecological impact of sandflies, this study highlights their significant role in human and animal disease. It reveals the dominance of Phlebotomus papatasi in Marrakech, showcasing its adaptation to arid climates. The research identifies two key activity periods for sandflies, October-November and May-July, which are optimal for vector control efforts. Additionally, it emphasizes the influence of temperature and wind on the seasonal population dynamics of these insects in urban settings, providing insights for effective entomological surveillance and control programs.
