Rabínka Barbara Aiello je zakladatelkou hnutí B'nei Anusim v jižní Itálii a ředitelkou IjCC (Italského židovského kulturního centra v Kalábrii). Svým dílem pomáhá lidem s italským dědictvím objevit a přijmout své židovské kořeny. Aiello je také rabínkou sboru Ner Tamid del Sud, prvního aktivního synagogálního sboru v Kalábrii za posledních 500 let od dob inkvizice.
