This paper analyzes the impacts of Amatheon Agri Zambia's outgrower program, revealing varied participation and effects on conservation agriculture, maize productivity, and women's micronutrient uptake. The findings highlight the complexities and dependencies of NOSs on project design and local conditions.
This paper reviews literature on urbanisation's effects on rural development in developing countries, focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa. It identifies seven channels of impact, including production, employment, financial, land market, information, social interactions, and environmental externalities. The review highlights both positive and negative effects, emphasizing the need for better data and research on rural-urban linkages and the unique context of African cities.
