Proslulé indiánské epos, dílo klasika americké poesie, vyšlo po prvé r. 1655. První český překlad, dílo J.V. Sládka, vyšel r. 1872. Hrdinou eposu je Hiawatha, rek indiánského pravěku, který je svému lidu učitelem míru, moudrým vládcem a nepřemožitelným ochráncem. Vítězně bojuje protiběsům zimnice, dává svému lidu písmo jako lék proti temnu, krotí válečnické choutky kmenů, zdolá v boji krále havranů, který pustoší úrodu polí. I mnoho dalších indiánských bájí je v eposu spojeno v jednotný celek, který vyznívá jako mohutný protest proti zločinu severoamerické civilisace, proti vyhubení Indiánů.

"Raven" je klasická narativní báseň amerického spisovatele Edgara Allana Poea.
