B. Ivy Woods se literature věnuje od nepaměti. Po získání bakalářského titulu v oboru politologie a environmentální politiky a magisterského titulu v oboru energetické politiky a práva a po několika letech práce v environmentální oblasti se rozhodla stát se ženou v domácnosti. V té době se myšlenky na psaní kariéru skutečně rozhořely. Ačkoli se několikrát zúčastnila NaNoWriMo, v roce 2019 poprvé vyhrála. Tento úspěch ji inspiroval k tomu, aby se psaní stalo kariérou. Její debutový román byl self-published v roce 2020.
