Keeping their most advanced technologies to themselves, the Plateau Tribes united to form the nation of Economica. They began to trade their superior, but less advanced, technologies with the US and Canada. But this led to the United States coveting the tech that Economica had, and the belief that the US should be superior to these Native Americans, and the race was on! Economica defends against US aggression while she explores the solar system and then interstellar space and nanotechnology. What will they discover in space or at home?

Hard Science Fiction about the Plateau People of the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains, after being defeated and losing much of the land they roamed and hunted on, decided to emulate the White man's education system. After a century the Plateau People had built an education system second to none, resulting in their science and technology surpassing all other countries on Earth. The various tribes of the Plateau People agreed to form a unified entity which they called Economica to represent all of their tribes. As their superior technology gap widened, Economica began to trade their older technology which was superior to the technology of other countries. Their trading city was in the foothills of eastern Idaho called Newland. The United States under President Dumpf was jealous of Economica's success and attacked Newland, destroying the trade city.
