Je to především slavná báseň T. Lucretia Cara De rerum natura, pak spisy Ciceronovy, Senekovy, Plútarchovy, církevních otců a jiných autorů. Je v něm shrnuto mnoho autorových myšlenek a citátů o životě, pravdě a o smrti, z nichž čerpali mnozí další antičtí filosofové. Tím nejznámějším byl bezesporu Seneca. prémiové svazky 1970

Epicurus emphasizes the pursuit of a happy, tranquil life, advocating for peace, freedom from fear, and self-sufficiency alongside friends. He posits that pleasure and pain define good and evil, dismisses the fear of death, and claims that the gods do not intervene in human affairs. The universe is described as infinite, with events driven by atomic interactions. This book compiles the surviving doctrines and letters from Epicurus, reflecting the foundational ideas of his philosophical school, The Garden, and is presented in a large print format for accessibility.
