Este libro describe la trasnformación social que lograron muchos habitantes de la Comuna 13 en la ciudad de Medellín por medio del arte y la cultura.La zona aún con dificultades y trabajo por hacer, dejó de ser un escenario de guerra y parte de su territorio se convirtió en una de las galerías al aire libre más grandes del mundo, senderos decorados con hermosas pinturas en murales coloridos que cuentan dolores y esperanzas de sus habitantes.Aquí también se dan a conocer las historias de vida de los artistas que han pintado dichas obras en el Graffitour Comuna 13; quienes, por medio de su arte, han contado sucesos ocurridos en épocas del conflicto armado y la evolución actual. De igual manera, se presenta el trabajo de algunas organizaciones sociales que han contribuido con la pacificación y la transformación social a través de diversas manifestaciones artísticas y culturales, también algunos ejemplos de emprendimiento, que surgieron luego de la construcción de las escaleras eléctricas por parte del gobierno municipal y la implementación de la ruta del grafiti en la zona.El arte y la cultura en la Comuna 13 se convirtieron en grandes referentes de superación del conflicto armado y modelos que pueden inspirar a otros grupos poblacionales del planeta, que pretendan generar oportunidades y transformaciones sociales para prevenir situaciones de violencia y criminalidad en sus territorios.

Politischer Druck - oder eine persönliche Angelegenheit, über die keiner spricht - zwingt den humorlosen Großstädter ins Dorf. Ein Toter, ein Kulturschock und viele exzentrische Dorfbewohner, allen voran seine 450-Euro-Schreibkraft, die in der Dienststelle illegal Filme herunterlädt und ein betrunkener Fahrradflüchtiger, der sich als sein Erzfeind entpuppt, warten bereits auf ihn.
