Více o knize
Memoirs of a Polish Jew, born in 1925 in Warsaw but raised in Plock, where he experienced the German occupation and became an inmate of the Plock ghetto. In February 1941 he was sent to a transit camp, then to Chmielnik, near Kielce, and then to the HASAG camp in Skarzysko-Kamienna. Neuman-Nowicki escaped from the camp, was provided with "Aryan" documents, and lived in various places until the liberation. Relates the stories of one of his brothers, who survived disguised as a non-Jewish Pole, and his wife, Ilonka Rappel, who also went through the Skarzysko camp. After the war they settled in the USA.
