The democratic affairs of African countries
Autoři
Více o knize
It is not for nothing that the widely advertised recent wave of democratisation coincided with the end of the Cold War. Across much of Africa, it was not unusual to hear advocates of pluralism of any sort being blamed by local communities for inflicting instability on the people. Democracy has been viewed as a panacea for under development in post-colonial Africa by the authoritarian regimes. Arguably, this notion could be replicated in Africa. Economic growth or development could be the result of Africa developing the so-called „finer aspirations“ that has been a goal for the political and personal liberties followed with the fulfillment of basic needs.
