In this research work, the network co-ordination between various civil society organizations was explored in Kassel city, Germany, combating domestic violence followed by the rehabilitation of the victims. The collaborative network, called ‚Aktionsbündnis gegen häusliche Gewalt Nordhessen’, works towards this end. The individual components of the network-collaboration, and their organizational expertise were investigated along with how this integrated effort of the organizations results in an effective victim empowerment model. A methodology is derived towards the support and rehabilitation of the victims and survivors of domestic violence and their dependent children to be implemented in the disadvantaged urban areas in Pune city in India. Each of the components was explored, to distinguish its unique contribution to the alliance and their collaborative effort to work against domestic violence. This study was aimed to bring the expertise of dealing with the phenomenon from one part of the world to another, considering the culture differences, but focusing on the problem solving methodology towards domestic violence against women, promoting victim empowerment.
