Více o knize
The success of ophthalmology over the past few decades is to a great extent based on the prolific collaboration between engineering sciences and physics. This success story is proven by the fact that most of the medical implants around the world are placed in the eye. The further development of these implants requires a continuously high degree of interdisciplinary research whose standing and developmental perspectives are presented and discussed in a symposium. The focus of this volume is on the diagnosis and therapy of glaucoma in the age of telemedicine, the possibility of reproducing the eyes accommodation ability in older patients, the fundamental principles of electronic visual prostheses and the biotechnological and surgical aspects of retina implants.
