Kniha by byla zcela jistě o mnoho hezčí, kdyby jí nekorigovalo totální nemehlo. Jak může vůbec světlo světa spatřit kniha, která obsahuje tolik chyb už od první stránky? Zdvojená slova či celá větná spojení, vykání/tykání v jedné větě, gramatické, pravopisné i stylistické chyby, nesoulady podmětu s přísudkem - no prostě všechno popletené. Nic horšího, co do kvality textu, jsem nikdy nečetla. Kniha pojednává o velmi vážném tématu a je naprostou dehonestací celého úsilí autorky, když je kvalita textu tak moc špatná. Nicméně příběh jako takový je krásný, kvalitně vykreslený, zabývá se smutným tématem, které se opírá o skutečné události z 30. - 50. let minulého století v USA. Naprosto jsem si oblíbila postavy Rill, Avery i Trenta. Shodou okolností mě zaujal další autorčin titul Kniha ztracených přátel, kterou mám již také doma a těším se, až si ji přečtu (ačkoliv má mnohem horší hodnocení; a budu doufat, že tentokrát text ošetřil někdo kompetentnější) také.
