Denkstahl street art

DENKSTAHL is AL‘s most recent art project, transpiring in part within urban space since 2016. This book is a photo documentation of Denkstahl Street Art created between 2016 and 2018. The artist hits the street with stickers and chalk, pursuing to leave a mark. His works enter into a dialogue with both the environment and other street artists. The written, sprayed or glued aphorisms and statements bring philosophy to the streets. Visual poetry or visual philosophy in the spirit of Denkstahl Street Art should set an impulse, an impetus, to stop and pause for a moment, to challenge one‘s own way of thinking, to doubt, or just to smile. An important aspect of street art is that the artist understands the city as an urban gallery; every passerby is a visitor and experiences art outside the museum – accessible and free for everyone.
