How to play Turkish therapy makams

The second volume of this book deals with the principles of therapy makams as they are applied in the music therapy of Dr. R. Oruc Güvenc. All common therapy makams are introduced in detail presenting many musical examples from classic compositions or typical motives and phraes. Original improvisations of Oruc Güvenc are added to every makam to faciliate the training of therapeutical improvisation. They are transcripted from Tümata Therapy-CDs which are commercially available. Musical examples of transitions between makams are given. The third volume (published 2020) will deal with the medical basic, the Ibn SIna (Avicenna) therapy.
