It highlights the work of actors with learning disabilities, along with, behind the scenes knowledge of the casting process, training methods, brainstorming sessions to incorporate their inputs, production process, unforeseen challenges that they encounter on sets and the critical and audience reception of the film. It is also an attempt to explore if such films could be categorised as belonging to the ‘inclusive films’ genre. The volume concludes with reflections on the limits and possibilities of artistic expression offered by theatre and films to the people with learning disabilities.
