Více o knize

The annual EURAS Conferences bring together academis from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, representative from national and regional standards bodies, and government agencies, and company representatives. They all share an interest in standardisation research and education. The papers presented at EURAS conferences address a broad variety of issues relating to standards and the underlying standardisation process. These include, among many others, standardisation policies, the economics of standardisation, participatory, legal und regulatory issues, as well as the history and the future of standards and standardisation. Particular emphasis of the 2015 conference is on the role of standards in transatlantic trade and regulation. Against the background of the ongoing TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) negotiations this is a highly relevant and topical focus. In this context, a number of challenges relate to standards and standardisation e. g. in the fields of health and safety, the environment, manufacturing, business, innovation and consumer protection. Other topics covered in this conference include the relation between standards and patents and between standardisation, research and innovation as well as the standardisation process and green standards.
